DID YOU KNOW?

The community has a comprehensive plan and uses it on a daily basis to direct future growth and plan for infrastructure, community services, trails, parks, and quality-of-life assets. The comprehensive plan update will build upon the existing plan to ensure that Troy continues to be an attractive and viable community.

MEETINGS & EVENTS

Project Steering Committee Meeting #1

Month XX, Year

A meeting of the project steering committee was held to kick off the comprehensive plan process! During the meeting a presentation was given to orient the steering committee to the planning purpose and process, their role and responsibilities, review what information we have been able to collect and to discuss the development and implementation of a working community outreach and engagement plan.

Project Ambassador Group Meeting #1

Month XX, Year

The project ambassadors will serve as liaisons between the steering committee and the broader  community. A meeting of the project ambassadors was held to kick off their portion of the planning process. During the meeting a presentation was given to orient and educate the group on the purpose of a comprehensive plan. The group also participated in interactive exercises on assets, improvement areas and community barriers.

Project Stakeholder Discussions

Month XX, Year

The project stakeholders are individuals who represent a wide array of community interests including major employers, developers, community organizations, and leadership. By facilitating one and one interviews and group discussions the project team was able to learn more about the community and the specific opportunities, challenges and trends impacting the community. The stakeholders were invited to participate in a 90-minute conversation specific to their area of interest.

Project Steering Committee Meeting #2

The second meeting of the project steering committee included a review of community engagement efforts to date and a preliminary look into the existing condition of the community. The group also participated in interactive exercises on  assets, improvement areas and community barriers.

Dubois September-fest

September 6th, 2025

The consultant team will have a booth set up at the Dubois Septemberfest  where residents of all ages can come give their input on what they think should be considered/focused on in the plan.

Huntingburg Herbsfest

September 27th, 2025

The consultant team will have a booth set up at the Huntingburg Herbstfest  where residents of all ages can come give their input on what they think should be considered/focused on in the plan.

Huntingburg Fourth Fridays

June 26th, 2026

The consultant team will have a booth set up at the Huntingburg Fourth Fridays event where residents of all ages can come give their input on what they think should be considered/focused on in the plan.

Jasper Downtown Chowdown

July 2nd, 2026

The consultant team will have a booth set up at the Downtown Chowdown event where residents of all ages can come give their input on what they think should be considered/focused on in the plan.

Public Open House

August 5, 2026

The consultant team will host an open house at the Thyen-Clark Cultural Center (Black Box Theatre) on August 5 from 3:00 to 6:30 PM. We invite you to stop by at any time during the event to review the current draft materials for the County Comprehensive Plan and share your feedback. Your input will help shape the future of the County.
